Mickey: Replacement or extension sleeved cables and PSU compatibility?

A couple of years ago I purchased "shakmod" sleeved cables from ebay for the GPU, ATX-24 pin + PSU 8-pin. I haven't experienced any problems with my EVGA G2 PSU and it seems fully compatible.
