I have a Machinist X79 motherboard. It has two PCI-E slots, an X16 and an X1. I am using an HIS Radeon HD 5450 PCI-E X1 GPU as a display output, and it works fine in either the X16 slot or the X1 slot. However, as soon as I try installing a Grid K2 into the X16 slot, the system has issues. The first time I tried it it booted into windows although I didn't have any display output until the lock screen. Windows update detected the K2 and installed the driver.
