Mickey: Best way in your PERSONAL experience in cleaning a matte monitor screen?

I got a bit of "spittle" on my monitor screen, I have read eye glass cleaner is safe... but I am hesitant to try since it's such an expensive monitor.

Water on paper towel is that safe? Or does it have to be micro fiber? I feel like water damped micro fiber won't be strong enough to get off some of the spittle is the problem.

Advise welcome.
