This terminology always confuses me. I'm looking at AMD's B550 and X570 series chipset motherboards. Some manufacturers say supports 3rd gen (and later with BIOS update) and others say supports 5000 series. If I am not wrong the four generations of Ryzen stand as 1000 series, 2000 series, 3000 series, and 5000 series. So far I haven't found a "Ryzen 4th gen" terminology yet.
