Mickey: Slow boot, can't launch monitoring software, general lag

Hello. This pertains to my sisters computer, which we discovered was quite unhealthy during a RPG session and both her image and sound was lagging quite a bit while having very low latency when running ping, and her computer wouldn't reboot, it was just stuck on the spinning circle. It booted after being unplugged for 30 minutes but the boot took something like 10 minutes. No updates were installed.
