Mickey: SATA drive help - ASUS Prime B360m-a motherboard - First Build

Hi
I am helping with a first build project, it is a Kolink case with Kolink PSU, NVidia GeForce GTX1060, we have a Western Digital SATA SSD for a boot drive and a WD HDD for data storage & tForce memory modules.
Everything is functioning correctly on the PC, except the SATA drives cannot be seen by the BIOS (or windows setup)
So far I have tried known working cables, updated the bios, reset to default settings. I can feel the HDD spinning so it is getting power.
