Mickey: Possible to use SAS Harddrives in as Desktop via SAS-SATA Cable if Controller can...

Hello everyone,

can i use a SAS Harddrive (ST10000NM0206) in my desktop PC?

My "onboard" Z77 Chipset does have some raid but maybe it can run sas protocoll and there are some cables from sas to sata availible but i think its for server chipsets..

sorry am i no server guy so i dont know sas drives..

Maybe there is a cheap and easy way with no monster raid card

Okay i did google before and couldn't belive it.. but it looks like my sata controller needs to SAS as protocoll to run...
