HI, I have a very old computer. It has one of the first quad core cpus. It will boot, but only into safe mode, and only with a boot stick. Then the computer screen is full of columns of horizontal lines. Is it worth it to try to do a clean install of windows? I tried to check on individual components in the device manager, but in safe mode I can't check the cpu's or the graphics card.
