Is it true that the base clock generator in PC(include most modern PC's) uses a cristal with frequency 4,7174 MHz inherited from a previous very old model used in cathode ray tube for IBM 3270 in the 1970s, and all other generators and resonators for other components and signals are made to be compatible with this 50 year old frequency? Aren't there cristals with more suitable frequencies for the main clock generator to make pc with much better performance? Weiterlesen...
