Mickey: B250 motherboard ,will it only take kaby lake

As above im thinking of getting a i7 7700 for a mining mobo to use as my main ride for a few months mostly gaming, cash is tight and I have a mobo and stick of ram ,i also need to sell my pcs cpu and mobo(bartered for car repairs)

But is kaby my only option.
