Mickey: Copilot key instead of Ctrl - here to stay?

What's your impression, how common is the Copilot key in new keyboards and laptops? Especially instead of R-Ctrl.
Assuming it's not a trend / push / forcing that will disappear soon, any good ways to remap the key back to plain RCtrl?

The web mostly mentions using PowerToys to remap Shift+Win+F23 to RCtrl. I think specifically LShift (0xA0) and LWin (0x5B).
Does that fully restore the original functionality?
