I know back when SLI/Crossfire was still a thing you could buy 5.25" bay sized supplementary PSU's (although I don't think any are still manufactured now). How were these supplementary PSU's used? Were they used to power both Crossfired/SLI'd video cards or just the secondary video card (i.e. the video card that didn't have any displays connected to it)?
